SLO County UndocuSupport is a collaboration of local organizations, community leaders, and concerned individuals who came together in April 2020 during the early stages of the COVID-19 pandemic with a common goal: to provide financial support for local immigrant families, including undocumented and mixed status immigrant families who were left out of federal pandemic relief programs.
Immigrants, many of them undocumented, do essential work that sustains us all. And yet, the national $2 trillion relief package for COVID-19 left out undocumented immigrants and their families regardless of immigration status.
It is estimated that 9,000 undocumented residents live and work in San Luis Obispo County. They are our neighbors, co-workers, friends and fellow students.
We invite you to join us by donating as generously as you can to the SLO County UndocuSupport fund at The Community Foundation of San Luis Obispo County.
THANK YOU!
UPDATE December 2020
SLO County UndocuSupport is currently taking steps to formalize the organization and to expand our purpose to include providing financial support not only during this pandemic, but also in the future during times of any national, state, or local crises that have a disproportionate impact on the health and well-being of immigrant families.
To this end, we are excited to announce the establishment of the SLO County UndocuSupport Fund at The Community Foundation San Luis Obispo County!
